was at about 195 million tonnes
globally in 2008. Combined
global demand for PE, PP and PVC
was estimated at about 155
million tonnes during 2008,
growing at about 5.5%.
Aggregate
consumption of PE, PP and PVC in
India crossed 5 million tonnes
in 2007-2008 registering an
impressive growth of about 15%.
